A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser to remember something between pages or between visits. This policy states, in detail and with a date, what localaiscope.com stores in your browser.
Why you are not seeing a cookie banner: this site sets no third-party cookies and carries no advertising. All it stores in your browser is what is strictly necessary to work, plus the language you chose — and that is exempt from prior consent under the ePrivacy rules as implemented across the EU. There is a first-party usage measurement, but it neither writes nor reads anything on your device — and that is precisely the condition that triggers the duty to ask for consent — so it does not need consent either. Asking for consent to something that does not need it is noise, not protection.

2. What is not there, and how that was checked
There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no social network cookies and no third-party cookies of any kind. The first-party usage measurement described in the privacy policy leaves no trace in your browser either: cookies and storage were listed before and after using the tool, and the two lists are identical.
That is not a statement of intent; it is a measurement. On 25 August 2026 the site’s pages were loaded in a real Chrome browser (not a simulator), all deferred loading was allowed to finish, and every network request and every cookie written was recorded. 3. The tool stores nothing on your machine
The setup finder runs entirely in your browser and today writes nothing to your machine: reload the page and whatever you entered is gone. It does send an aggregate usage counter — an event name and three values from a closed list — set out with its literal text in the privacy policy. A button to save “my machine” in the browser’s local storage is planned; it will be optional, that configuration will still never leave your machine, and this table will be updated before it is switched on.
4. When a consent banner will appear
Stated in advance, so that compliance can be checked. A prior consent mechanism will be installed, and this policy updated before the change goes live, as soon as any of the following happens:
- the site starts showing advertising;
- an analytics tool is installed that writes to or reads from your browser, or identifies you, such as Microsoft Clarity or Google Analytics;
- third-party content is embedded — a video, a map, an external web font — that loads from another domain.
Today’s first-party measurement meets none of those three: it is served from this same domain, it writes nothing, and it identifies nobody. If that changed, this page would change too — and first.
5. Controlling or deleting cookies
You can delete this site’s cookies and storage, or stop them being saved, from your browser settings: Chrome (“Privacy and security” → “Third-party cookies” / “Site data”), Firefox (“Privacy & Security” → “Cookies and Site Data”), Safari (“Privacy”), Edge (“Cookies and site permissions”). If you delete the language cookie, the site will show you the default language again until you pick another one.
