Legal notice
This notice identifies who publishes localaiscope.com and sets out the terms on which the site is made available.
1. Who runs this site
The identification details of the publisher, who is also the person with editorial responsibility and the data controller, are shown in the image below. They are published as an image rather than as text to make automated harvesting harder; they are fully readable by any person.

The contact address shown in that image is the valid channel for anything concerning this site, including complaints and data protection requests.
2. Hosting
Hosting provider: BANAHOSTING.COM LLC, 5506 Broken Sound Blvd NW, 5208, Boca Raton, FL 33487 (Florida, United States) — banahosting.com.
Physical location of the server: Amsterdam, the Netherlands, inside the European Economic Area. IP 75.102.58.54, host name sh-europe2716.banahosting.com, network AS23352. Checked on 25 August 2026 by reverse DNS lookup and by two independent geolocation services.
Keeping the server inside the European Union is a deliberate choice and consistent with what this site argues for. The full picture still deserves stating: the hosting provider is incorporated in the United States, so access from outside the EEA by its technical staff cannot be ruled out. That point is covered in the privacy policy.
3. What this site is
Local AI Scope is a technical documentation and comparison site about artificial intelligence models that can be run on your own hardware. It publishes model pages, a recommendation tool that runs in your browser, and per-language cost data. It does not sell hardware, does not sell software, does not provide consulting services and does not distribute model weights.
4. Use of the site and liability
The information published here is technical and general in nature. It is offered in good faith, dated and sourced, but it is not professional advice — not technical, not legal, not data protection advice — for any specific situation. Decisions about buying hardware, deploying a model or handling sensitive information remain the responsibility of whoever makes them.
This field moves fast: a model, a runtime version or a price can become outdated between publication and the moment you read it. That is why every figure carries a date and an evidence label; see the methodology.
The publisher is not liable for damage arising from service interruptions, from errors in information published by linked third parties, or from the use made of the site’s recommendations.
5. Intellectual property
The text, design, compiled data tables and original code of this site belong to its publisher. You may quote extracts and figures with attribution and a link to the source page; systematic reproduction of the dataset, or its reuse to build an equivalent service, is not authorized.
The names of models, manufacturers, programs and brands mentioned here — for example Meta, Google, Alibaba, Mistral AI, NVIDIA, AMD, Apple, Ollama, LM Studio or llama.cpp — belong to their respective owners and are used for descriptive and informational purposes only. This site is not sponsored by, endorsed by or affiliated with any of them. In particular, Local AI Scope has no connection whatsoever with the LocalAI project: the partial name overlap is a coincidence, which is why the brand is always written out in full.
This site does not host or redistribute model weights. Where a license is described, the link points to the manufacturer’s primary source, which is the text that prevails.
6. Links
Links to external sites are offered as references. The publisher does not control their content or their privacy practices. Where a link may earn a commission, that is stated explicitly; the rules are in the affiliate disclosure.
7. Governing law
The publisher is established in Spain, so this notice and the relationship with users are governed by Spanish law and, where applicable, by European Union law. This site does not sell products or services, so there is no consumer relationship to submit to any alternative dispute resolution scheme.
8. Changes
This notice may be updated when the information it contains changes. The date at the top of the page shows the last revision.
